Too many athletes don't prepare themselves for the following season and waste their time by either not training or training incorrectly. College and NFL players don't simply go into the weight room and think "huh, what am I going to do today? NFL and college athletes have a complete training program designed in advance that takes them through multiple phases of the off season throughout the year so that when it comes time for the season to start they are in the best shape possible with those big arms, muscle thighs, and the power to go from zero to kill speed in a flash, while also focusing on staying healthy throughout the season.
These phases include Hypertrophy (muscular size building), strength, and power so that each phase is built upon the previous one with the goal of having you become the biggest, strongest, fastest, and most explosively powerful athlete you can be. We always include many in depth speed training programs to increase your overall speed, agility, and quickness. Also, to be clear TRACK SPEED IS NOT FOOTBALL SPEED!!!! (READ THIS ARTICLE IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME) That's why NFL teams don't have tracks at their facilities!! Running mechanics that track sprinters incorporate into their programs are the same running mechanics that all running athletes incorporate because bio-mechanically you must move the same, whether your running the bases, field, court, or track. For this reason everyone in the world of sports use the same running mechanics (and we use some that many trainers don't know exist). There are no special "guru" techniques that exist for running form, what does make the difference is the coach who can relay to each athlete how to make the critical adjustments in their form to elicit the correct movements. Every athlete learns differently so we make sure to coach every athlete with that in mind, making our program very effective for athletes to pick up quickly.
When it comes to speed and agility training we hear so many things from coaches and other trainers that they have no idea sound bad such as: "My son/daughter/team doesn't need strength training they just need to work on foot speed and bodily quickness" Well there is a good saying related to this in our field "you can't flex bone"!! So without muscle and muscular strength you can't teach an athlete to be quicker or increase their speed as effectively as possible. This is the biggest reason why we incorporate strength training into our regimen because strength doesn't always mean moving weights, most times your own body-weight can be more than enough to produce adequate resistance.
With that said, our program is tried and true to develop lightning fast foot speed, agility and quickness. Once our athletes have the strength and mechanics to move their bodies, we progress on to making them coordinate their bodies to use that size and strength in a functional manner so none of the newly built gains are wasted or hinder the athletes previous ability. In laymens terms we make you bigger and stronger, then faster than you ever thought you could be. Then we condition our athletes for stamina. The athlete that is faster and stronger for longer is hard to beat.
Choose this program because in football the most important factor to being the best athlete is raw strength and power. This translates into blazing speed and explosive power, because who wants to be able to run fast but get tapped and go down easily or not be able to deliver that bone crushing blow? Well without true football strength training and a progressive program that will be your reality. Anthony Trucks has designed a program that in many ways rivals and may be better in some ways than a professional off-season program because he has been through many off-season programs, and has taken the good parts and left out the bad parts to create the best program aimed at creating monstrously strong, powerful, quick, and fast football players.
The one area that track trainers lack in their athletic speed development programs is a sound strength training background which is exactly where our program lies, no matter what sport you play (when was the last time you saw a track runner bench over 400lbs or spend anywhere near the amount of time in the weight room lifting as hard as other sports, especially football?). Track sprinters don't because they don't need to, but all other sports absolutely need that level of strength. This doesn't mean lifting crazy heavy weights all the time but simply having great flexibility, range of motion, and most importantly the functional body-weight strength to take your body through those ranges of motion safely and effectively. RANGE OF MOTION + FLEXIBILITY + STRENGTH + POWER = A DOMINANT ATHLETIC SPECIMEN. Once we have perfected your speed mechanics the only thing that can get you faster is strength and power. Ask any player at a higher level and they'll tell you big and fast is scary, and almost unstoppable.

Our biggest concern is proper technique through everything we do to prevent injury. Anthony is not a meat head who thinks "you should lift heavy always no matter what it looks like". (If you're worried your child may be to young to participate read this article).
If you can't do the exercise bio-mechanically correct you will not be asked to do so until you can. This eliminates injury but most importantly helps athletes in the long run.
If you keep doing something wrong your body will compensate by making due with other muscles and ligaments which will break down over time. Like a car that needs an oil change, eventually things deteriorate and break down. Anthony spends hours researching, testing, and designing his programs for maximum safety and effectiveness. Then each exercise is explained very specifically to the athletes and continually coached so the athletes can master them.
No matter what you decide to do in life the biggest expectation should be results. This program is geared to do one thing: GET RESULTS!!!!
Of the many things you get from this program, with proper diet, I can almost guarantee you the following:
Each athlete will have their own tracking sheet and be tested monthly to provide us and the athletes important feedback. Each athlete can also have a picture taken of them for before and after comparisons.
If any athlete is able to complete 3 months of the program with 100% attendance and improvement in all areas, they will be given the honor of signing their own brick on the: Trucks Training Wall of fame "The blue walla ballas"
